2009 PINOT NOIR Marion's Vineyard
Score 18/20 Intense ruby colour, beautiful aromas of citrus fruits, orange peel with ripe wild raspberries and morello cherries. Extremely delicate floral notes with a hint of mushroom flavours. Already extremely attractive and drinkable now. Medium to full bodied wine, showing ripe morello cherries on the palate, which are supported by a wonderful lively and fresh acidity. Showing minerality and elegance, spicy in the finish then earthy undertones and a firm, but very approachable tannin structure.
Mario Scheele, Purchasing Manager at Mövenpick Wein "Whenever I see a label of Schubert's wines, I immediately think back of our last visit there. In the middle of the European winter we relaxed on the comfortable terrace of Kai and Marion, 38˚ C in the shade surrounded by vineyards. We enjoyed juicy steaks from the grill with slightly chilled Pinot Noir. We enjoyed this extremely hot day very much." |
