VARIETIES: Cuvée of three white grape varieties:Chardonnay, Pinot Gris and Müller-Thurgau. ORIGIN: Wairarapa CLIMATIC CONDITIONS: Mild winter and warm spring resulting in an early bud-burst, leading into a cooler than usual summer, followed by an early autumn. DATE OF HARVEST: 24th March 2014 HARVEST & VINIFICATION: Hand-picked, whole bunch pressed and fermented in 15 % new and 85 % used French Oak barriques & puncheons. Some maturation "sur lie" with occasional "battonage". Racking by gravity to keep maximum freshness of fermentation-CO2. DATE OF BOTTLING: 23rd October 2014 ALC: 13.0% VOL
TASTING NOTES: Lightly straw-coloured. On the nose orange blossoms leading into a touch of yeast with a hint of oak. A floral entrance with a reflection of citrus with a core of minerality; leading to a long lingering finish.
