VARIETIES: Cuvée of three white grape varieties:Chardonnay, Pinot Gris and Müller-Thurgau. ORIGIN: Wairarapa CLIMATIC CONDITIONS: A windy spring and wet spell over the New Year, was follewed by a hot, dry summer. DATE OF HARVEST: 21st March 2015 HARVEST & VINIFICATION: Hand-picked, whole bunch pressed and fermented in 15 % new and 85 % used French Oak barriques & puncheons. Some maturation "sur lie" with occasional "battonage". Racking by gravity to keep maximum freshness of fermentation-CO2. DATE OF BOTTLING: 15th October 2015 ALC: 13.5% VOL
TASTING NOTES: Fragrant lifted aromas of orange blossoms and honey comb with underlying flinty mineral notes. Bright and refreshing with layers of fruit reminescent of summers stone fruit and fresh tree ripened pears. An alluring core of spice and a sense of minerality that gives weight and structure, with a creamy texture leading to a long satisfying complex finish.
