Pinot Noir Block B

2003 Deep dark colour with orange rim. Beautiful ripe nose showing ripe fruits of blackcurrant and sweet meatiness and savoury herbs with a hint of spiciness. Full body showing the intensity of the of the very warm 2003 vintage. Dark fruit with some leather, cigar and smoked beef followed by some cardamom and thyme. Big structure and chewy tight tannins. Cellaring potential 3 - 4 years.
2004 A toasty nose of sweet rosewood with mineral, earthy notes of truffles and bacon. Ripe sweet fruits of cherries and spice through to a meaty core with hints of mocha. Nice elegant mineral tannins that offer length and structure. Cellaring potential 3 - 4 years.

2006 A lifted nose of sweet frits, bound by earthy notes of herbs and leather. An entrance of ripe blackcurrants and tarragon lead into gamey tannins and savoury spices with firm acidity offer a long-well structured finish. This is a powerful and bold Pinot Noir that just keeps on giving. Cellaring potential 5 – 8 years.
2007 Multi-layered nose of cassis and a touch of dried herbs leading into earthy, cigar smoke notes. Full sweet ripe fruit entrance showing a core of cold smoked meat with cloves and cinnamon spices. Refined tannins and structure offering a long lingering finish. Cellaring potential 6 - 9 years.
2008 An enticing bouquet that draws you in of deep dark ripe fruits, morello cherries and blueberries followed by seductive earthiness. Still young showing oaky aromas with leather, chocolate and liquorice and some sweet ripe fruits notes. A bold entrance of morello cherries, spice with a hint of lingering chocolate, with a core of firm meaty tannins, leather and pure earthiness with a long lingering finish. Cellaring potential 6 – 9 years.
2009 A rich concentrated nose showing chocolate, scented roses, showing true elegance. A round entrance of ripe dark fruit, mocha and chocolate. Elegantly structured with a touch of spice leads into firm cigar like tannins offering a long lasting finish. Cellaring potential 3 - 4 years.
2010 Lifted black cherries leading into earthy savoury notes with under lying dark chocolate on the nose. The palate shows an entrance of ripe plums and spice with an undertone of wild game and earthy notes, tight savoury tannins and a firm acidity. Big tannins providing a great potential for aging. Cellaring potential 6 – 9 years.
2011 Concentrated ripe nose of dark black doris plums with lifted spice and mineral notes with a lingering smokiness. A ripe entrance that envelopes the palate with an array of spice and earthy notes of truffles, wild wood and hints of cigar and leather with firm tannins that offer a long enticing finish. This wine shows great cellaring potential. Cellaring potential 6 - 9 years.
2012 A little reserved on the nose with floral hints and touch of spice. An entrance of ripe sweet cherries followed by a floral notes leading into a core of cloves and cinnamon bound by firm tannins. Great acidity balance offering a long lingering finish and aging potential. Cellaring potential 10 - 12 years.
